Got extra cucumbers? Save this reel for whenever you want to make some refrigerator pickles! You’ll need:

•2 small or 1 large cucumber
•2-3 cloves garlic
•10 whole peppercorns
•1/2 teaspoon dill
•A pinch of crushed peppers (optional)
•1/2 cup water
•1/2 cup white vinegar
•1 teaspoon salt
•1 pint jar with a lid

Cut the cucumbers into slices or spears and place them in a pint sized jar. Crush the garlic cloves and add them to the jar with the peppercorns, dill, and crushed peppers. To make the brine, heat the water, vinegar, and salt together until very hot and the salt has dissolved. When the brine is ready, pour it over the cucumbers, screw on the lid, and give the jar a nice shake. 24 hours later, you’ll have delicious, crisp homemade pickles!

I took inspiration from @mauiartisansourdough for

I took inspiration from @mauiartisansourdough for this sourdough monkey bread. You could make it with any type of bread dough, but mixing the sugar, cinnamon, and butter all together and then tossing the dough pieces in the mixture is ingenious. No more double dipping each individual bit of dough!

This recipe even converted the anti-cinnamon roll children in my house (I know, weirdos) and everyone loved it!

Monkey Bread Recipe

•1 cup granulated sugar
•1/2 cup cinnamon (this amount is pretty strong and makes the monkey bread a bit spicy, so you can cut it in half)
•1/2 cup melted butter
•1 1/2 lbs. dough (I used @elaine_foodbod’s basic sourdough recipe)

Grease a bundt pan well and set it aside.

Whisk the sugar and cinnamon together, then stir in the melted butter until it’s all combined.

Cut the bread dough into 1” chunks, then toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until they are all covered.

Spread the pieces of dough in the bottom of the Bundt pan and cover it. Place it in a warm, draft free area to rise until it has nearly doubled. When you gently poke the dough, it should spring back slowly.

Preheat the oven to 350F and place a rack in the center. Bake the monkey bread for about 30 minutes, or until the center measures 180F.

Remove the bread from the oven, place it on a large plate with a lip, and flip it over.

Mix together 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 2-3 tablespoons whipping cream until you have a smooth glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the hot monkey bread.

Monkey bread is best eaten when it’s warm and gooey, so serve it immediately or reheat it before eating.
